A chapter of the Lithuanian American Community, Inc. — preserving heritage and building connections in Northeast Ohio since 1951.
Who We Are
Clevelando Lietuvių Bendruomenė
We are the Cleveland chapter of the Lithuanian American Community, Inc. — a national nonprofit active since 1951. Our roots run deep along Cleveland's E. 185th Street corridor, where generations of Lithuanian immigrants built a church, a community, and a lasting legacy.
What We Do
Celebrating Culture & Building Connections
We organize cultural events throughout the year — spring gatherings, summer picnics, Christmas Eve Kūčios, and appearances at One World Day. We connect members to the national and global Lithuanian diaspora.

⛪
St. Casimir Parish
Formerly Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Casimir Parish at 18022 Neff Rd, Cleveland is now the spiritual home of Cleveland's Lithuanian community. Lithuanian Mass and cultural events are held throughout the year.
Founded in 1904 at E. 65th & Superior in the Detroit-Superior neighborhood, St. George was the original heart of Lithuanian Cleveland for nearly a century. The church closed in 1999. Its legacy lives on through the community it built.
The Lithuanian Club on E. 185th Street is the social and cultural gathering place of Cleveland's Lithuanian community — hosting events, celebrations, and community dinners throughout the year.
Antanas Smetona, the first and last President of independent Lithuania (1919–1920, 1926–1940), spent his final years in exile in Cleveland after fleeing Soviet occupation. He died here in 1944 and is buried at Calvary Cemetery — making Cleveland the resting place of Lithuania's last president.
